The purpose of West Michigan Youth Workers is unity. It's our heart that the Youth Pastors, Students Directors, Students Pastors, Youth Directors, and everyone in between feel supported. We're doing this through lunch gatherings where we meet together, hang out, learn from other Youth Workers in our area, and take time to talk about what's happening in our own contexts.

We will have a special guest, Michael Pyne, in attendance for this meeting. He will be doing Suicide Prevention - QPR Training (Question, Persuade, Refer) and Mental Health 101. You will be certified in QPR suicide prevention skills, much like CPR. QPR has over $20 million worth of research behind it and has been around for over 25 years. Their website is QPR Institute | Practical and Proven Suicide Prevention Training QPR Institute (en-US). Upon completion of this, you will be certified as QPR gatekeepers for 3 years.
